Puppy parenthood is an exciting (and sometimes overwhelming!) adventure, but don’t worry—you’re not alone. We’ve partnered with Wonderdog Training, a local Fear-Free trainer, to bring you a fantastic new opportunity to help your puppy thrive from the start.

Wonderpuppy Pre-K begins March 2, 2025, and is the perfect way to get your puppy off on the right paw. This six-week class is designed for puppies 9–16 weeks old and covers everything you need to know as you start your training journey.

Here’s what you can expect from Wonderpuppy Pre-K:

Potty training tips and tricks
Solutions for puppy biting and other common behaviors
Socialization opportunities to build confidence
Basic foundation behaviors to set your pup up for success

Requirements

Puppies must be at least 7 days settled into their new home before starting class
Puppies must be under 14 weeks old at the start of class
Puppies should have received a minimum of one dose of DAPP (distemper) and Bordetella vaccines

Meet the Trainer: Eryn Rolison, CPDT-KA

"I’ve had dogs my entire adult life and wanted dogs my entire childhood. A likely story of a dog trainer, right? But it was after adopting a severely leash-reactive dog, Hossa, that I sought professional training help and changed the course of my relationship with dogs forever.

I use positive reinforcement to create a fun and cooperative relationship between pet guardians and their four-legged family members. By tapping into the science behind how dogs learn, we can more effectively train them to become happy and well-adjusted family members!

I have been working with dogs since 2013 in various capacities — from volunteering to train shelter dogs to teaching private lessons for my own clients.

I stay up-to-date on the latest training methods by attending seminars and conferences led by the top trainers in my field. This allows me to offer the best and most accurate knowledge to my clients.

When I’m not training dogs, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dogs, art, and enjoying the outdoors."
