What is Bravecto Quantum?

Bravecto Quantum is a prescription, extended‑release injectable suspension for dogs (and puppies 6 months of age or older). Rather than relying on monthly chews or topical applications, this solution provides continuous protection from fleas and ticks for up to 12 months.

That means one simple clinic visit for the year — no reminders, no missed doses, no stress over scheduling.

How It Works

The active ingredient in Bravecto Quantum is fluralaner, which belongs to a class of compounds known as isoxazolines. Once injected subcutaneously by a veterinarian, the fluralaner is gradually released into the bloodstream over time. When fleas or ticks bite your dog, they ingest the medication — which disrupts their nervous system and kills them before they can reproduce or transmit disease.

For most fleas and common ticks (like the black‑legged tick, American dog tick, and brown dog tick), protection lasts the full 12 months. For the lone star tick, the approved protection duration is up to 8 months. 

Lab and field studies have shown that Bravecto Quantum was nearly 100% effective against fleas throughout the 12‑month period when administered annually.
