Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a LVT
- Previous experience or training/education working in a veterinary facility
- Friendly and people oriented
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Ability and willingness to be cross trained to other areas of the hospital including but not limited to client services and pharmacy
- Basic computer skills
- An enthusiastic team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and animal handling
High School Diploma or equivalent
Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S) in Veterinary Technology
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift/push or otherwise move 50 lbs
- Dependable attendance required
- Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during an 8-10 hour work day
- Visual acuity sufficient (accommodations available upon request) to maintain accurate medical records and understand written directions
- Ability to speak and hear (accommodations available upon request) sufficiently to understand and provide information over the telephone or in person
- Fine motor skills adequate for utilizing hospital equipment such as electric clippers, cold laser, syringes, radiology equipment, laboratory equipment, computers, and more
- Commensurate with skills and experience, pay range from $25 to $29/hr
- Fear Free certification
- Enrollment in group health plan (including vision + dental)
- 401K Enrollment with match after 1 year
- Paid time off
- 3 paid holidays
- Time and a half pay for 5 minor holidays (if worked)
